PRESS RELEASE – Partnership Proves Successful for Shrewsbury IT Firm
“A local IT specialist
is celebrating a prosperous working partnership and a significant contract win
thanks to a dedicated scheme aimed at showcasing business services on offer
across the region.
Network Support Solutions, which provides a range of network, hardware and
software solutions, teamed up with fellow Shrewsbury-based business Peakes
Travel Elite via the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce network to completely overhaul
the travel agency’s computer systems and software.
“We’ve networked with the Peakes Travel Elite team for a number of years at
various Chamber events and thanks to a period of growth at the agency, we were
first on their list when the contract to revamp their computer system came up,”
explained Katy Jones, Managing Director of Network Support Solutions.
“When they approached us, Peakes were using old PCs alongside an out-of-date
server, which weren’t performing at the speeds required by a busy and vibrant
office like theirs. To resolve the issue, we provided a new IT setup which was
prepared in our workshop. We then went into Peakes as soon as the agency closed
on a Saturday evening to install everything ready for normal business hours on
the Monday morning – resulting in no downtime for the agency at all.”
The major overhaul saw Network Support Solutions fit a brand new server and
nine PCs at the Mardol-based travel agency, with an expert engineer on-site on
the first day of operation to support staff with any training issues.
Claire Moore, Manager at Peakes Travel Elite, added: “Having known Katy for a
number of years through the Chamber of Commerce breakfast clubs we felt
confident that Network Support Solutions would be the perfect company to help
us upgrade our technology to meet the ever growing needs of our customers.
Katy’s no nonsense and practical approach to the job helped make sense of all
of the technical processes. The project has been seamless and we are
delighted with the efficient way they dealt with the whole business.”
