This month we are highlighting the work of Andy Perry, who has been with us for 10 years.
He started out his working life as a fitness instructor before turning to the world of IT. He had three years learning his craft in the industry before joining us at PC Net.
Computer engineer Andy has a wealth of experience in IT for our clients to draw on in keeping them ahead in the ever-evolving world of technology.
“IT is critical for the vast majority of businesses these days. There are lots of changes going on all the time which keep the industry fresh and interesting,” says Andy.
“It is a specialist business and can be niche but at PC Net we are involved with so many different companies that we have to think outside the box.
“I think we are heading more and more to Cloud-based systems but this requires good Broadband and this could be a stumbling block in Shropshire, something that needs to be rectified as we move forward.”
So what does Andy do?
Andy is a computer engineer, dealing with all aspects of keeping people working efficiently within the IT world.
Andy is involved in site visits, fixing computers and networks, installing and replacing equipment – as he says, ‘anything to do with Windows, really’.
Working within a small team at PC Net means everyone pitching in and helping out with whatever is needed at any given time and Andy is also involved in answering calls, logging information and dealing with inquiries.
And when he’s not working?
Andy ls a Shropshire lad, born and bred, lives in Church Stretton.
He has two lovely daughters and enjoys running and cycling.
