About Us
PC Net have been in business since July 1998, when provision of IT into small businesses in Telford was in its infancy – a lot of business owners were still of the mind that they did not need computers in their company. We often struggled as there was the suspicion we were selling them something they did not need, would need lots of looking after and would go wrong easily. It was good to be in a position to convince them that we sold reliable kit and we were there to look after it if anything did go wrong.
During PC Net's existence we have seen lots of changes in the IT world, the wars between virus writers and anti-virus software producers, the development of WiFi, the blurring and amalgamation of different communication methods such as VoIP, MSN, fax to PC, e-mail and texts to name but a few.
Our major skill lies in the installation and maintenance of Microsoft Small Business Server operating systems.
During the past few years, we have also changed the way we work - more of our support is now carried out remotely - logging into a server or PC on our client's site, or over the phone - rather than a callout.
Looking to the future, we would like to develop our client base - we are looking for businesses requiring the confidence that working with PC Net brings. They realise we are at the end of the phone, we will assist with any IT problem. This ensures that all our clients can rely on PC Net to look after their IT network with as little "down time" as possible which releases time for them to grow their businesses.
